Last week weather wise was superb, we had a week of blue sky’s and the temperatures rose steadily as the week past by which meant we sat outside on the patio most afternoons.
On Monday I cut the lawn and applied fertiliser also tided and straightened the garden up which took up most of the day.
The evening walks with our dog; well that’s my privilege. Some times my wife goes with me but mainly I go alone.
On Monday evening my wife volunteered to take the dog for his walk because I wasn’t finished in the garden. When my wife leaves the house my last words are always “be careful” and it was the same “be careful” this time when she left with the dog. About one hour later my wife came back in a hell of a state, she had fallen and was in a bit of a shock. Apparently she had not realised that she was so near the verge on the road and slipped with her left foot causing her to fall onto the road. After she had recovered a bit we examined her knees, they were badly grazed also she had a cut above her lip and her chin was grazed. She was very lucky that she hadn’t broken any bones or broken her glasses, during the evening her knees swelled up and we had to cool them with ice. She has now on both knees a whopping big bruise the cut on her lip has healed very nicely.
Now there is a coincidence for you, I have just read the post from my brother no1broadstreet and his wife has fallen as well, glad to hear that no harm was done.
My wife was on to me about getting rid off two large ceramic tubs with boxwood shrubs in them, which we have in our garden, they are at least 15 years of age and she says she can’t stand the sight of them any longer. Now I’m a person that hates to part with things and my wife is exactly the opposite but after listening to her going on about these boxwood shrubs I decided the best thing was to get rid of them (the clever man gives in) or so they say.
I asked one of the neighbours in the street if she would like them for her garden she wanted to see them first of course; one hour later we had transferred them from our garden to hers and like I always say “ a good job done”
On Saturday morning we went into the local town Hilden, my wife wanted to look for a light jacket for spring and we had a stroll over the market before having a coffee sitting outside a small café looking on to the old market square. From there we drove to a new large D.I.T super-market that has just opened which is not to far from were we live, very handy.
