Easter week.

After reading the exploits of my brother no1broadstreet over the last week I thought it was time I made a post, although there is nothing that can compare with my brothers activities in this part of the world.
Easter came and went like all years before only this year the weather was perfect, well most of the time anyway.
I mowed the lawn on Thursday and shuffled around in the flowerbeds, (shuffled is the word my mother used to use when my dad tided the garden up) so that every thing looked nice and neat for Easter.
My wife and I sat outside on the patio most of the Easter holidays relaxing and enjoying the fine weather we also went for a long walk or two with our dog.
I must say I needed the rest because the Sunday before Easter I did a ten Km run, which I do most Sundays. I was so shattered during the run that one would have thought that I had completed a marathon. It was more a walk then a run with stops and starts the whole ten Km. When I arrived home I said to my wife “ that my batteries needed recharging and that I shall take time out over the next two weeks”. I had done a lot of work in the gardens grounds of the houses that I look after and that had used up more of my energy than I had realised.
Wednesday morning I took our dog to be trimmed, I must say it was high time he looked more like a Lion cub then a Norfolk terrier. The lady that trims him took two and quarter hours to do the job and the pile of hair that was plucked from him was unbelievable, next time I shall take my camera with me. There was two other lady’s present in the room all in all three with the women that trimmed Toby. I can tell you, the natters from the three, which was mainly about dogs and dog shows got on my nerves and I was glad to get out of there I can tell you.
That was the Easter week, not at all exciting but very relaxing.
