They rung me up to ask if I could come round and talk to a new guy in the company about three cutting dies that had been ordered through my person this time last year for a company in Berlin. The Dies were originally made so that the machine could be tested. Up to now those Dies had never been in production because of difficulties with the machine. Apparently they had had so many problems with the machine that they never got round to doing the tests.

Yet it seems that the tests will be carried out some time next week and this new guy was not satisfied with the Cutting Dies, he wanted some alterations done to the Dies. I told him the whole story on what specifications the Dies were made including my objection at the time because I was certain that they would have problems with the Dies when they went into production with them. Now they are having problems and want to put the blame on me. The guy wasn’t listening to what I was saying and as far as I could tell he was trying to profile him self in front of his boss. I said, after listening to him going on for at least a half an hour, “ I don’t need this kind of stress” and left. I can imagine that I won’t be working for the company any more, which is kind of sad, because I enjoyed working in my old trade now and again.
On a good note the weather has changed the sun shone today and the forecast is good weather for the next few days, let’s hope so!
The photos are of a Automatic Flatbed Die cutter and of a Cutting Die.
Take care out there were ever you are. Tschüss.

You never know, his boss may realise that your experience outshines his apparent knowledge. Interesting stuff that I never realised about what you did.
